Making WA gas work for West Australians

The Domestic Gas Policy promises that Western Australians receive 15% of gas for local use before exports. Yet only about 8% is supplied.

Gas underpins WA’s prosperity. It powers manufacturing, enables critical supply chains, supports jobs, and provides the foundations for industries that serve both local and global markets. But when supply is uncertain, obligations are unclear, and reporting lacks transparency, planning for WA’s future becomes harder.

The DomGas Alliance exists to bring clarity to how the system is operating in practice and to advocate for the policy and market settings needed to maintain a reliable domestic gas supply.

By working constructively with government, producers and WA’s gas users, we help ensure the system supports competitive industries, economic resilience and long-term confidence.
